With a degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University, JV took the corporate world by storm. She started her career in marketing and made waves, until Microsoft Philippines took notice. She handled multiple roles in her stay in Microsoft, but her role as CTEC Manager (Certified Technical and Education Centers), ignited her passion and gave her much appreciation and experience in handling customers as well as Learning and Development. She won the CPE (Customer Partner Experience) Hero Awardee for Microsoft Asia Pacific and Greater China Region, the first Filipina to receive such a prestigious award, which paved the way for her to become a strong advocate of Customer Experience. After Microsoft, she pursued her passion by being a licensed teacher, and shared her expertise as a professor in De La Salle University.
JV discovered that her purpose lies within the corporate world, and she put up People Ignite in 2004. She strengthened her advocacy in “igniting” talents and potentials by representing the Philippines in Singapore during the ICET (International Convention for Educational Technology) through her winning paper “Living a Legacy through Ambassadorship” and contributed in narrowing the great divide of color or race for leading others.
As the Chief Executive Igniter of People Ignite, she continuously ignites others through training and facilitation in the areas of personal development, leadership, communication and customer engagement. An accredited Think on Your Feet® Master Trainer and Facilitator, she has traveled around Asia to conduct various sessions on vision and career mapping, culture transformation, and passionate team collaboration.
As the wife of Wowie and the mother of 2 beautiful children, JV believes that life is a borrowed time. One must make most of the talents given to us to fulfill our purpose in life.
